The benefits of buying a Brevanti wine cooler

Wine reacts to its environment.  For anyone who wants to store their wine well and manage its maturity and character purchasing a Brevanti Wine Cooler is a must!

Modern Cooling Technology

As important as what the temperature is, is consistency of temperature. If the temperature goes up and down, the organic components in the wine can be affected. The cork can shrink or swell too – especially in older wines with less elastic corks.   Brevanti wine coolers exploit modern thermoelectric or compressor technology to maintain a steady temperature, regardless of how hot or cold it is in the room outside.

Vibration free

Too much vibration can disturb a wine's sediment balance. Suspended sediments occur naturally as the wine ages and it is possible for vibration to turn them back into liquid form which is counterproductive. The cooling mechanism within our cabinets is either a high quality low-vibration compressor or thermoelectric, both of which provide an efficient, low-vibration, no-frost cooling system.

Side storage

Bottles should always be stored on their side so that the wine is in contact with the cork. This keeps the cork moist and ensures a good air seal for the bottle, preventing oxidation and immediate ageing of the wine.   Brevanti wine coolers are designed to store all wine bottles on their side position providing the perfect storage option.

Thermoelectric or compressor cooling system?

Below is a quick guide to help with your decision...

Thermoelectric:
•    No moving parts resulting in less vibrations and a quieter, virtually maintenance free operation.
•    Environmentally friendly because they do not release ozone depleting chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons or other gases.
•    Lightweight.
•    precise temperature control.

Compressor based system:

•    More efficient at cooling than thermoelectric units (estimated at 4 to 12 times more efficient) and can withstand adverse conditions.
•    Compressor units are generally used in environments where cooling demands are heavier.
•    Cooling efficiency. Thermoelectric wine coolers are not meant for large cooling applications so compressor based systems may be more suitable for a professional environment.
